Still Integrating

I’m still integrating Krypton, but it’s unfortunately taking me longer than one would have hoped. I have a great infrastructure set up for it that doesn’t work yet, but I am able to get a light to show up in my gameplay screen. I just need to integrate it with the engine. I want to make sure that it’s working properly, so I’m going to throw a background image under the light to make sure that it is working as it should, but then it’s on me to figure out the best way to integrate the engine with it, given that the code I’ve written doesn’t yet work. This is not helping me complete the introduction to the game, but it definitely is the most important part of the project, so I think this is time well spent, even if not how I planned it.

UPDATE:

I believe my issues are stemming from the camera matrix I’m giving to the Krypton engine. I’ll try to understand what exactly is going on, but this issue could take me a while to figure out, unfortunately.

UPDATE 2:

I still think what I did last update, but my gosh, I’ve solved a bunch of other problems I didn’t really realize I had in the meantime. Now Krypton is doing everything exactly the way it is supposed to within my engine, except for drawing lights in the right positions. And I’m not really any closer to figuring that issue out, but I asked the developers about it and hopefully if they don’t have the answer they can steer me in the right direction. It’s times like these where I really feel my ignorance getting in the way… but I do learn more every day.
